Phlebotomist / Laboratory / FT
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, a Phlebotomist shall have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in the techniques of phlebotomy. A Phlebotomist shall be responsible for performing all phlebotomy duties and when required clerical duties in a timely manner. He/she will interact pleasantly with patients, employees, physicians, and guests. The employees shall follow all infection control and safety policies of the laboratory and hospital. The employees shall support his/her supervisor and his/her department.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Good clerical skills and average typing ability. Phlebotomy certification preferred, phlebotomy experience required. Must be able to do heavy lifting, stand and walk for long periods. Ability to work independently within general guidelines.
