Phlebotomist / Laboratory / PT
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director, a Phlebotomist shall have a thorough knowledge and proficiency in the techniques of phlebotomy. A Phlebotomist shall be responsible for performing all phlebotomy duties and when required clerical duties in a timely manner. He/she will interact pleasantly with patients, employees, physicians, and guests. The employees shall follow all infection control and safety policies of the laboratory and hospital. The employees shall support his/her supervisor and his/her department.
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Good clerical skills and average typing ability. Phlebotomy certification preferred and at least 1 year phlebotomy experience preferred. Must be able to do heavy lifting, stand and walk for long periods. Ability to work independently within general guidelines.
